Mosaic of Dreams: Ewa Bednarczyk

Ewa Bednarczyk – Bielsko-Biała

My favorite activity is to be in a circle of friends and enjoy what is called “soulmates”. But to take off the odium of egocentrism, the goal must be beyond. Let these ultra-friendly meetings serve something sublime, serve others.

I dream of doing something really meaningful for those who were less fortunate in life than we, who experienced a less fortunate family, less health, etc. Their fate particularly grasps my heart.

I would like to offer them the best in the world, which will compensate them as much as possible, raise their spirits, or even turn their fate for good, so that they would have the impression that it is even better than if they had not had their misfortunes, because they would not have experienced the wonderful things that they are experiencing.

Children’s ministries, youth community centers, charity ministries, as well as ministries for those whose soul’s needs call for help in particular. I see my role as an advisor to people who will develop such ministries, training them how to talk about deepest needs, going to the sources of existential problems, so that they themselves may also be a reliable pattern to follow.

My reference to the Fundamental Plan, the Person of Christ?

THEY WILL NEVER PERISH; AND NO ONE WILL SNATCH THEM OUT OF MY HAND. (GOSPEL OF JOHN 10)

Words from the Bible have always impressed me. When I was a teenager, when my parents led me to church (we lived in southeastern Poland), I remember that I put a lot of effort not to hear anything from what was said, so I would not feel the guilt. I tried to think about other things. The most important thing for me was competitive sport, running, I was successful, many looked at me with admiration, so there was something to resort to with thoughts.

But I was too carefree about life. A sports scholarship, which I was supposed to spend on proper nutrition, I spent on nice clothes. It became very dangerous, I landed in hospital with acute anemia, hemoglobin was at a critical level. I almost run to the other world.

IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM AND WILL DINE WITH HIM, AND HE WITH ME. (JESUS, BOOK OF REVELATION 3)

The break in sport coincided with the fact that one day, during the holidays, while I was in Koszalin, northern Poland, I was sitting in the pew. The speaker quoted the words from the Bible, which again reached me with all their power. Christ’s call was absolutely clear to me. He spoke to me. I wanted not to run away anymore and I gave my whole life to Him. He became the most important for me. A completely different adventure began in my life, which continues to this day and will never end. All other matters were overshadowed.

Few years later, again in Koszalin, during the youth camp, I talked a lot with a boy who studied in Warsaw. When we said goodbye, he said that when I was going to travel by train through Warsaw Central, he would be there and we can still talk to each other. I got off. This boy studied theology, so you can imagine what we were talking about. But because it was a Protestant theology, I soon became his wife, the wife of a pastor.

One day, eight years later, he asked me what I would say if we went to another city where there was no community. However, it was not an escape from vocation, on the contrary, the mission of creating a new community. This is how we found ourselves in Bielsko-Biała, where the Mission Community was established by the will of the Most High.

Since then, a huge amount of experience has been gathered through tens of thousands of hours of conversations combining people’s experiences with the priceless principles hidden in the Bible – God’s Word, which on the one hand gives a lecture on the anatomy of the human soul, its needs, and on the other hand gives wisdom on how needs can be satisfied.

The program we are currently working on is called “You Are Not Alone”, for those whose soul’s needs call for help. My role is to advise the people who create this program.

My youth was defined by competitive sport. Starting from blocks at 400 meters with a finish on a huge oxygen starvation is a great effort, but even greater satisfaction. At the sports camps I had the opportunity to meet Irena Szewińska, most famous Polish runner, who impressed me very much. I still run several times a week. A healthy spirit in a healthy body, but everyone knows that phisical activity is far too little for a healthy spirit. That is why I want to do that.

Thanks to the fact that I articulate my dreams, it is easier for me to pursue them. Every time I see a human misfortune, I don’t have to feel helpless, but can be more motivated to make my dreams come true. As for 400 meters. When I see those, who were less fortunate in life, let them catch up with me with that happiness!

Have I already told you what is my favorite activity …

… that it is to be in the company of “soul mates” …

THE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE IS A GIFT OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE.

… and to give what is greatest you can give…

… whether on the run …

… or in concentration?

One more soul mate …

… who often frightens me with his dreams …

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM WHO STRENGTHENS ME. (LETTER TO PHILIPPIANS 4)

… but I somehow manage and soon they become our common dreams.
